TWO POINT SIX CHALLENGE

On 26 April, join the rest of the country for the 2.6 Challenge to support Kit Tarka Foundation and help save the UK's charities!

Whether you're walking round your garden for 2.6 miles, hopping on the balcony for 2.6 minutes or doing 26 press ups with a dog on your back, we would love your help.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on Kit Tarka Foundation and so many other charities, with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in fundraising income. In response, the organisers of the biggest mass-participation sports events across the country have come together to create a new campaign to raise vital funds to help to save the UK’s charities.

The 2.6 Challenge will launch on Sunday 26 April – what should have been the date of the 40th London Marathon, the world’s biggest one-day annual fundraising event.

How do I get involved?

This is a challenge for all ages and abilities. All you need to do is think of an activity based around the numbers 26 or 2.6 that suits your skills and complete it on or from Sunday 26 April.

This could be something as simple as pledging to run 2.6 miles as your daily exercise to doing 26 minutes of yoga, or juggling for 26 minutes (or maybe just 2.6 minutes!) non-stop. Check out the ‘how to get involved’ page at twopointsixchallenge.co.uk for more ideas and inspiration.

And don’t worry if you’re not able to get out your house or flat for now – you can do your 2.6 challenge anywhere inside too!

There are no rules, apart from the Government guidelines on how to exercise safely during this time. Whatever you can do, you can be a part of it – the main thing is to get active, have fun and pledge whatever you can to help support Kit Tarka Foundation.

To join in there are just five simple steps to take:

  1. Dream up your 2.6 challenge – if you need help there are lots of ideas here

  2. Head to Virgin Money Giving to donate £26 – or whatever you can afford – to Kit Tarka Foundation or to set up a fundraising page

  3. Ask all your friends and family to sponsor you and challenge them to do their own 2.6 Challenge

  4. Complete your challenge

  5. Share a photo or video of your challenge on social media with #TwoPointSixChallenge and #TeamKTF

*New* you can now download and print a race bib to wear on the day!

We hope you’ll join the nation in The 2.6 Challenge to support Kit Tarka Foundation and help to save the UK’s charities.
