VACANCIES

FUNDRAISING MANAGER

We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and personable fundraiser to join the Kit Tarka Foundation family and help save babies’ lives by raising vital funds for the charity. Due to funding restrictions, the role is part-time and fixed term but with genuine potential to extend.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Fundraising Manager will work across all fundraising activities to increase income generation. The remit is broad and provides the opportunity to really shape the future of the charity and the role itself. Many of the existing revenue streams are in their infancy so there is huge potential for the Fundraising Manager to make a real difference through their creativity and innovation.

As a small charity we have limited time and resources so the Fundraising Manager will work closely with the CEO and trustees to agree a realistic and achievable plan for their first year and beyond. Expected areas of focus will be grants, corporate partnerships and individual giving. They will secure and develop strong relationships with our supporters within the local and wider communities.

The Fundraising Manager will report directly to the CEO and provide quarterly progress updates to the Board of Trustees. A trustee with fundraising expertise will give additional support and guidance. The post is new and is expected to develop with the individual appointed.

VOLUNTEER ILLUSTRATOR

We are looking for a volunteer illustrator to join the Kit Tarka Foundation family and help save babies’ lives by bringing our neonatal herpes public awareness campaign to life and helping to make our resources accessible to all.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a volunteer illustrator to help bring our public awareness campaign to life and work with us to enhance existing materials and develop new ones inspired by our current branding.

We have created one of the world’s top resources on neonatal herpes which contains preventative advice for expectant and new parents as well as health professionals and is presented in an easy to understand format BUT we are missing illustrations and infographics to make the information really stick in the reader’s mind and to make it accessible to all; including those for whom English is not their first language. You can visit the information page at kittarkafoundation.org/neonatal-herpes-info-and-advice.

Our next step is to create leaflets and posters to be distributed to healthcare settings across the UK. Our illustrator will work with us to develop these resources to make them eye-catching and memorable.

Location: Working from home.

How to apply: Please send a covering email and examples of your work to info@kittarkafoundation.org.

We warmly welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds.
