What volunteer work do you do?
I help out with some design work as and when needed, from the brand guidelines to posters, adverts, leaflets and buggy tags.
Why do you volunteer for Kit Tarka Foundation?
Initially I was contacted by Sarah through Reach Volunteering regarding an illustrator role. Although I wasn’t quite right for that, I was only too happy to offer my design skills should the charity need any printed materials designing which they have :)
What do you like about and gain from volunteering?
It feels great to know that my skills can be used to help KTF communicate and raise awareness of neonatal herpes. There’s no pressure or expectations so it’s nice to be able to work on projects in a more relaxed way.
What would you say to someone considering volunteering for Kit Tarka Foundation?
Do it! The charity is doing such important work so to be able to help in whatever way you can will make a difference. Plus they are such a friendly team that make you feel really valued.
